StudioLogic SL-161 61-Note Controller

July 16, 1997 StudioLogic Masterkeyboards, manufactured by FATAR and exclusively distributed in the United States by Music Industries Corp., is proud to introduce the new, low-cost SL-161 MIDI master keyboard controller. The SL-161, 61-note controller with non-weighted synth-style action, is designed for the home computer musician or the performing musician seeking a low-cost alternative to more expensive mater controllers.

The SL-161, $499.95 suggested list, features a 61-note, non-weighted synth action, velocity sensitive keyboard with aftertouch and one pitch-bend and one modulation wheel. The SL-161's top panel features the following buttons: 2 buttons for the enabling and disabling of the two keyboard zones, an Enter/Edit button, 2 scroll buttons (Up/Down) for editing parameters, a10 LED read-out indicates the active parameter, and 2 LED's indicates which zone button is active (On-Off).

Three zones are available for splits and programmable layers. A numerical keypad corresponds to the keys of the central octave. The SL-161's rear panel features 2 parallel MIDI outputs, sustain input jack, volume input jack, DC input jack, power switch and a power-status LED. The SL-161 will also remember the last used zone parameters. When the SL-161 is switched on, the last used program and selection(s) are enabled.

Dimension of the SL-161 are, cm 90 wide X 26 deep X 8 high (35.5" wide X 10.25" deep X 3" high) and it weighs only 3 kg. (6.6 lb.).
