ToneWorks is introducing a new line of four programmable guitar effects pedals that are a new standard for versatility, sound quality and durability. These pedals will stand up to the rigors of the road, while giving guitarists an entirely new range of tonal and effects possibilities.
The 104ds Hyper Distortion pedal packs distortion so fat and rich that it takes the tone of any guitar into new sonic territory. The Hyper Distortion is at center stage for live gigs, but is equally at home in the studio, thanks to its Amp/Line function. Also, a Cabinet Resonator effect simulates a number of popular amplifier cabinets (and those that haven't been invented yet), so that when recording direct, the sound retains the natural response of miked speakers. Size and Depth control parameters provide the ability to fine-tune the cabinet resonance point and depth to create exactly the sound desired. Suggested retail price is $189.00.
The 105od Overdrive creates a warm "tube-type" distortion with classic vintage tone so sought after in today's music. A Boost switch allows guitarists to toggle between high-gain overdrives and everything in between - from the edgy snarl of a classic tweed combo amp, to a British valve head that rattles the stage with full-tilt overdrive. In addition to Drive and Tone controls, the 105od also features a mid-range Contour control. Suggested retail price is $189.00.
The 301dl Dynamic Echo has a line-up of features and versatility that make it an essential part of any guitar player's effects arsenal. Features include: up to one full second of delay time; both High and Low Damp filters; a unique Lo-Fi/Hi-Fi control that accurately varies the frequency response, allowing tape or analog delay simulation; and a separate Pre-Delay function with a maximum delay time of 400ms. In addition, the 301dl features a variable ducking function: when it's engaged, echoes are muted; when the guitarist stops playing, the echoes return at normal volume and length. Suggested retail price is $199.00.
The 411fx Super Multi FX has a staggering 32 effects programs, including eight different distortion effects ranging from smooth overdrive to fuzz; various modulation effects such as stereo chorus, wah, phase shifting and pan/tremolo; plus high-quality reverbs and other effects; and 12 preset programs and 10 user programmable memories in a single, compact pedal. The 411fx is the most feature-packed, professional quality guitar multi-effects system available in a single package of its size. Suggested retail price is $199.00.
All ToneWorks pedals are powered by four AA batteries, with a typical battery-life of 18 hours. They can also be powered by an optional 9-volt DC adapter. The pedals measure 4" x 5.5" x 2.5", and weigh 1.3 lbs. with batteries. The ToneWorks pedals will be available in August, 1997. For more information, visit their web site at www.korg.com. |
