Addressing the needs of a growing sound reinforcement/sound contractor market, Roland has introduced three affordable new sound reinforcement speakers: the SST-151 and -251 full-range Speaker Systems and the SSW-351 Subwoofer. Each of these new speakers boasts exceptional Roland sound quality, full frequency response characteristics and a durable, road-ready design - perfect for outfitting nightclubs, churches, rehearsal studios or touring bands.
The SST-151 and SST-251 are precision engineered two-way speaker systems; the SST-151 incorporates a 12-inch woofer and a horn, while the SST-251 features a 15-inch woofer and a 1-inch titanium horn driver. Maximum input level is 450 watts with a sensitivity rating of 98 dB (1w/1m) for the SST-151 and 600 watts with a sensitivity rating of 100 dB (1w/1m) for the SST-251. Both models feature built-in PowerShieldTM tweeter protection circuits, eliminating the need to replace blown fuses.
Professional-grade NeutrikTM SpeakonTM jacks are provided, as well as two parallel 1/4" input jacks for running multi-speaker configurations without the need for extra cabling. Precision tested internal crossover networks provide constant and optimized time frequency response over extended listening periods.
Heavy-duty recessed cabinet handles and extension pipe inserts permit vertical and horizontal speaker positioning, while the SST-151 and 251's rugged, trapezoid-shaped cabinets enable ideal multiple-speaker sound dispersion. Both models feature durable, carpet-covered 7-ply core plywood enclosures.
The SSW-351 Subwoofer provides the perfect compliment to the SST Loudspeakers. Its deep, subsonic bass is made possible through a precision 18-inch woofer with a maximum input of 600 watts and a sensitivity rating of 97 dB (1w/1m).
Like the SST-151 and -251, the SSW-351 features two parallel 1/4" inputs, professional SpeakonTM connectors and a high-precision internal crossover network. A built-in 250 Hz high-pass filter is also included, along with a direct input jack for using an external crossover. The rugged trapezoid-shaped cabinet allows for multi-speaker arrays, while a sturdy 16-gauge, powder-coated speaker grille ensures speaker protection under rugged conditions.
For sound reinforcement pros and bands looking for an affordable way to deliver loud, clean sound, look no further. Roland's SST and SSW speakers have arrived. For more information, visit their web site at www.rolandus.com. |
