| Steinberg Releases WaveLab 1.6

Steinberg North America announces the release of WaveLab version 1.6 The leading audio editor for the Windows/NT platform, WaveLab 1.6 is the first program to offer integrated CD-burning to create professional red book compatible audio CDs with a majority of the popular CD-ROM or CD-R recorders. Wavelab 1.6 provides musicians, audio engineers, sound designers or any other creative individuals with an elegant, highly intuitive interface for realtime 24 bit audio editing, processing and archiving. More realtime DSP processing effects are available with Steinberg's Spectral Designs Hi-end Plug-ins, including DeNoiser, DeClicker, Loudness Maximiser, Spectraliser and Magneto. Even more choices are available from third party developers, for example Waves' Native Power Pack, and a virtually unlimited amount of real time plug in effects from any of the other Active Movie compliant plug-ins. In addition to CD-Burning, WaveLab 1.6 also imports audio tracks digitally from Cds with a CD-ROM or CD-R unit connected via SCSI. New features in 1.6 include
- Full featured graphic waveform editing
- CD-burning with full PQ code editing
- 6 spaces of realtime plug in effects processing
- 24 bit audio processing
- Support for ActiveX Movie Plug-In architecture
- Realtime processing of a live input
- Batch processing, Database functions and Spectral Analysis included.
- Award winning Grungelizer plug in included
- Imports audio from CDs via CD-ROM or CD-R
