Expanding the acclaimed Roland SR-JV80 Series wave expansion board collection even further, Roland is proud to introduce the new SR-JV80-14 World Collection "Asia". By installing this expansion board, XP/JV-Series synthesizer and synth module owners gain access to a range of distinctive Asian instrument sounds carefully sampled with cooperation from local musicians in China, Indonesia, India and other Asian countries.
The new SR-JV80-14 features more than 100 waveforms, including Asian string instruments with a variety of distinct "weeping" sounds, as well as a vast collection of rhythm instruments. Chinese instrument sounds include the Er Hu, Yang Qin, Suona and many others, while Gamelan (Indonesian orchestral music) instruments includethe Jegogan, Jublag and Pemade. Also featured on the SR-JV80-14 are Indian instruments like the Table, Dholak, Dhol, Sitar, and Santoor, along with many other Korean and Japanese instrument sounds.
Phrase loops include both Standard (even-metered) and Asian-style rhythms that can be tempo sync'd to the XP-60/80 Music Workstations and JV-2080 64-Voice Synthesizer Module. The board's expressive possibilities are enhanced further with bender lever and Arpeggiator functions.
