| Shure Gives New Design to Venerable Vocal MicrophonesBeta 87/SM87 now with new ergonomic features  July 10, 1998Longstanding choices of performers and audio professionals around the globe, Shure's Beta 87 and SM87 condenser microphones have been given a new external design which enhances both user comfort and durability.
Now designated as the Beta 87A and SM87A, both incorporate slightly thicker handles which add a more solid feel to hand-held applications. Also shared by both new models is Shure's A25C break-resistant swivel adapter.
