Moving to bring the quality, technology and performance of JBL's EON
Series to musicians, DJs and system designers who prefer external amplifiers
or powered mixers, JBL Professional today highlighted the JBL EON1500
loudspeaker system. The JBL EON1500 includes many of the features that
have made the JBL EON Series one of the most successful products in sound
reinforcement history, and will allow artists to integrate the power and
performance of EON into existing systems.

DJs who have well defined preferences in amplification," explained

of the JBL EON1500 will make the legendary EON sound quality, ruggedness
and innovative design available to this group."
The JBL EON1500 delivers trademark JBL EON audio quality using a 15"
2-way speaker system with a molded one-piece baffle and integral 60 degree
x 90 degree 90 degree constant directivity horn. In addition to many other
classic EON features, the EON1500 also boasts a liquid cooled titanium-diaphragm
compression driver and JBL's patented SonicGuard(TM) circuitry that protects
the driver from overpowering.
Featuring an enclosure and baffle molded from tough, durable co-polyrner
material and a heavy-duty, perforated metal grill to protect the woofer,
the EON1500 is arguably the world's most rugged and durable externally-powered
loudspeaker. The EON1500 will withstand impacts that would cause fatal
damage to conventional enclosures.
The JBL EON1500, which comes in an all black enclosure, is unobtrusive
and professional in appearance and because of its original multi-angle
design, it can be used as a main PA speaker or alternatively as a floor
monitor. An ergonomic design, balanced handle and weight of just 38 lbs.
allow for easy and comfortable carrying for even the most roadweary performer.
The JBL EON1500 features dual 1/4" phone jack inputs and integral
35 mm pole mount receptacle with securing thumbscrew. "With EON1500,
