Parker Introduces Spanish Fly Guitar
July 23, 1999 With the introduction
of the Spanish Fly, Parker Guitars has brought their unique blend of modern
technology and old world craftsmanship to the nylon string guitar. The Spanish
Fly features a one-piece Sitka spruce body, long regarded as the ideal wood
for fine acoustic instruments, a basswood neck, and Parker's patented carbon/glass
exoskeleton design. At 1.85" wide at the nut, the Spanish Fly is particularly
well suited for the fingerstyle guitarist.
The Spanish Fly guitar is also equipped with an ornate ebony bridge with tie
block, a Fishman active-piezo pickup system designed specifically for nylon
strings, volume, treble and bass controls and custom Sperzel tuning machines.
Finished in a rich, transparent butterscotch, the Parker Spanish Fly is shipped
with a molded, hard shell case for a suggested retail price of $3725.00.
