Tascam Introduces CD-R624 Audio CD Creation

July 23, 1999TASCAM is proud to introduce the CD-R624M and
CD-R624W software solutions for Macintosh and Windows at the Summer NAMM Convention,
held from July 23 to 25 at the Nashville Convention Center, Booth 403. The CD-R624
packages burn both 100 percent Red Book-compliant audio CDs and popular data
CD formats.
"This software is powerful in its scope, reliability and ease-of-use,"
says Gene Joly, TASCAM division manager. "Everything a user needs to get
started is included in the package, including cabling, blank media, tutorials
and even a CD labeling kit. While this is a powerful audio CD creation tool,
the CD-R624 can also create data CDs to back up your computer and MP3 audio
files for internet distribution or use in MP3 personal players."
The CD-R624W version's hardware includes an Adaptec PCI SCSI card (2903 bus
master) plus a TEAC CD-R56S/614 6X24 external drive. The software includes SEK'D
Red Roadster 24 v5.20, Adaptec EZ CD creator v3.5b, and Xing AudioCatalyst v2.0.
Accessories include SCSI and power cable, SCSI terminator, two blank CD-R media,
TEAC 6X24 product manual, TASCAM CD-R624 quick start, and CD-stomper CD labeling
kit. SEK'D Red Roaster is able to record 24-bit 96kHz audio (provided the sound
can support it), and includes compression, multi-band compression, graphic EQs,
frequency analysis graphs, and even an intelligent noise reduction processor.
The CD-R624M version's hardware features a TEAC CD-R56S/614 6X24 external drive.
Software includes Adaptec Jam v2.5 and Toast v3.5.6, BIAS peak LE v2.01v2, BIAS
SFX machine light, and Xing AudioCatalyst v2.0. Accessories for the CDR624M include
SCSI and power cable, SCSI terminator, two blank CD-R media, TEAC 6X24 product
manual, TASCAM CD-R624 QuickStart, and a CD-stomper CID labeling kit.
