Yamaha DTXPRESS Electronic Drum Kit

Yamaha Drums shatters the price/performance barrier with its new electronic
drum kit, the DTXPRESS. The full-featured five-piece kit offers an incredible
array of sounds with sets that cover a wide variety of styles-from Rock
to Latin to Jazz to Fusion to Hip-Hop to Dance."
The DTXPRESS sounds and plays like any professional kit on the market,"
says David Jewell, Drums product manager. "The updated sounds and drum
loops are perfect for today's variety of music."
The kit boasts high-quality rubber pads that are very sensitive to the
nuances of an individual drummer's playing style. Included are four drum
pads, two cymbal pads, a kick tower, hi-hat controller, hi-hat pad and
a rack system designed exclusively for the DTXPRESS.
In addition to offering more than 1,000 sounds with 128 general MIDI
voices, the DTXPRESS has 80 drum kits and 127 songs. The set also comes
with its own two-track sequencer, which makes for a great practice and
teaching tool. Another noteworthy feature is Yamaha's unique Groove Check,
which helps users hone in on the perfect groove. The backlit display provides
easy viewing during performance, even under low-light situations. The
DTXPRESS can connect directly to a computer without an external MIDI interface.
