Alvarez Guitars introduces new Professional Series
of steel and nylon string guitars. Available in traditional body-styles
and cutaway acoustic-electric formats, the Professional Series offers
a combination of sound and playability with cosmetics. Utilizing solid-spruce
tops with scalloped bracing, Alvarez Professional Series models now feature
solid-wood backs of rosewood and mahogany for superb tone and projection.
Steel string models are elegantly appointed with abalone sound hole rings
and ivory/herring-bone body binding. Nylon string models feature intricate
sound-hole mosaics and multiple body binding.
The rosewood PD100S presentation dreadnought ($899.00) incorporates a
spectacular "Tree of Life" fingerboard inlay, as well as generous
amounts of abalone body and headstock inlays.
The Alvarez PD90S ($799.00) rosewood dreadnought offers the classic
"deep bass" and clear treble desired by players of all styles.
The PF90S ($749.00) OM Style folk model features strong balance between
lows, mids, and highs, ideal for recording and fingerpicking styles. The
PF90SC ($ 899.00) cutaway utilizes the highly acclaimed Alvarez System
500 MKII pre-amp/EQ, for amazingly accurate acoustic guitar reproduction.
Featuring a solid mahogany back, the PD80S ($699.00) produces the classic
mahogany tight bass and airy high end. Also available are the 12-string
PD80S-12 ($759.00) and cutaway acoustic-electric PD80SC ($879.00) with
the System 500 MKII.
The PC50S ($799.00) nylon string model features a solid-spruce top and
a solid back of exquisitely figured Indian rosewood, and the cutaway PC50SC
($999.00) offers the live performer remarkably natural classical guitar
tone when interfacing with modern sound re-enforcement and recording equipment.
