Mackie Designs is proud to introduce the new SRS1500
Self-powered Sound Reinforcement Subwoofer. The compact, high-output SRS1500
contains a 15" high precision long throw woofer and utilizes a road
tested, bullet-proof Mackie FR Series 600 watt High Current Amplifier
to provide highly detailed and articulate bass response down to 40Hz,
at a peak output level of 127 dB. The amp is fully integrated into the
enclosure and is cooled by a massive polished heat sink.
The SRS1500 subwoofer is designed, and ideally suited, as a companion
to Mackie's resoundingly successful SRM450 Self-powered Sound Reinforcement
loudspeaker. The small 17.71" wide X 23.62" deep footprint and
light weight of the low-profile SRS1500 makes it a versatile and portable
low frequency speaker system for all mobile sound applications. A standmount
adapter on the top of the SRS1500 allows the user to pole-mount the Mackie
SRM450 directly above the subwoofer unit, thereby creating an extremely
powerful, high-output sound system that takes up very little floor space.
The diminished size of the SRS1500 subwoofer also makes it ideal for use
in fixed installations where smooth integration within the architecture
and design is critical.
Mackie's self-powered loudspeaker technology is the fusion of a variety
of well-known features and technologies within the actual speaker enclosure.
Mackie's self-powered loudspeaker systems provide unrivaled active equalization,
time correction, phase alignment, speaker protection, and component matched
amplifiers to augment the enclosure. The integration of these technologies
culminates into an affordable speaker system that is musically precise,
accurate and powerful. By eliminating external amplifiers, Mackie Self-powered
Sound Reinforcement systems reduce system complexity, cost and maintenance,
and are easier to transport.
The Self-powered Sound Reinforcement Series was conceived and developed
by an international team of Mackie engineers and designers. Self-powered
electronics were designed and manufactured in Mackie's Woodinville, Washington
facility, with speaker components supplied by Mackie/RCF in Reggio Emilia,
Italy.
SRM Self-powered Sound Reinforcement Monitors and SRS Self-powered Sound
Reinforcement Subwoofers are designed for a wide range of applications,
including entry level MI customers, AV rental houses, heavy metal fans
who loath their neighbors, and systems contractors and installers.
