Ovation Adds Elite Special to USA Model

Early 1999 brought a new look and acoustic sound to
Ovation guitars with the introduction of the Balladeer Special. It’s
lightweight satin top finish is less restrictive and allows maximum vibration.
That same finishing method will be applied to a multi-soundhole model
- The Elite Special - beginning early 2000.
The new model, available in mid depth (S778) or super shallow (S868)
cutaway body styles incorporates Ovation’s OP24 plus pre amp and
thinline pickup combination for rich sounding, flexible, and super quiet
acoustic/electric amplification. Other features include laser cut hardwood
epaulets, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and chrome hardware. Retail
price is $999.00.
