The ep-77 and ep-97 will make practicing and playing the piano feel and sound
like the "real" thing, with the added educational benefits and flexibility
of advanced digital instruments. The ep-97 features a full 88-note weighted keyboard
with touch sensitivity, while the more compact ep-77 offers 76-weighted keys with
touch sensitivity. Both the ep-77 and ep-97 feature maximum 64-voice polyphony
with, newly-sampled stereo piano sounds.
The simple, straightforward operation makes it easy to play, practice or learn
the piano on these instruments. A specially designed control panel enables, one-touch
selection of eight different instruments. Along with the Roland acoustic piano
sounds, both the ep-77 and ep-97 offer single-touch access to sounds such as electric
piano, vibes, harpsichord, organ, strings and choir sounds. One-touch features
like Tone Select, Chorus and Reverb further enhance their sonic qualities and
playing possibilities. Beginning and advanced players will appreciate the ep-77/97's
performance features like a built-in metronome for practicing, a song recorder
for capturing performances for playback, an Audio In/Out jack for practicing with
CD's or tapes, and dual headphone jacks for music lessons or playing duets. A
Transpose function permits easy transposing into any key. Also the ep-77/97's
powerful stereo speaker system faithfully reproduces their dynamic piano and instrument
