Roland's TD-10 V-Drums Module Updated
with TDW-1 Expansion Board
February 4, 2000
Now, Roland is proud to announce the TDW-1 Wave and System
Expansion Board, an upgrade for the TD-10 that expands this powerful module with
new sounds and enhanced system software.
Updating a TD-10 module with the TDW-1 is easy, as the board includes both
the wave data and system software and is user-installable; V-drums owners can
simply install the board into the slot underneath the TD-10 for an instantaneous
version upgrade.
Once installed, a total of 256 additional drum and percussion instruments
are available, arranged into 50 genre-specific drum kits with new backing patterns.
Included are new kick, snare drum, toms, hi-hat, cymbals, electronic toms, and
percussion sounds, plus the amazing voice drums from the acclaimed TD-8 Percussion
Sound Module. A total of 14MB of wave data is available, giving an expanded TD-10
a total of 30MB of sounds.
In addition to the new sounds, the included system software update is even
more capable of matching drumming dynamics with tonal changes, especially in the
hi-hats and cymbals. Expanded fader control means that toms and cymbalsformerly
grouped together under one fadercan now have their volumes adjusted separately.
The TDW-1 Expansion Board, with its new sounds and improved system software,
will ensure the TD-10 V-drums System remains the most powerful electronic percussion
system well into the future.
