Korg iX300 Interactive Music Workstation

Korg has introduced the iX300 Interactive Music Workstation, a 61 note, 32 voice keyboard which represents the next generation of Korg's i-series instruments. The new iX300 is the most comprehensively equipped keyboard system ever at its price point. The iX300 was designed for a broad range of musicians and allows you to write, produce, record or perform live music in a wide variety of styles quickly and easily.
The Korg iX300 starts with sampled stereo piano sounds, as well as a huge repertoire of organ, brass, strings, guitar, drum and percussion sounds -- all using Korg's critically acclaimed AI2 Synthesis System -- with a ROM area containing 192 sound programs, 25 drum and percussion programs, plus 128 GM(General MIDI) sound programs and 1GM drum program. A separate RAM area holds an additional 64 more sound programs and two drum programs, which are fully editable. All sounds of the iX300 can be edited in real-time as you play. In addition, the Korg iX300 also features a database with 108 different musical style programs that can create backing tracks in virtually any style, from rock to pop to club and techno, as well as many ethnic styles. Each style includes 4 variations, 2 fills, 2 intros and 2 endings.
The iX300 Offers A Full Complement Of Real-time Performance Functions
Operationally, the Korg iX300 is easy to use. Add full accompaniment to melodies with the iX300's interactive functions. The Full Keyboard switch lets you play a keyboard program over the entire range of the keyboard even in arrangements in which the lower part is used to trigger backing accompaniment. This function is particularly useful when both hands are needed to play a piano piece.
Functions like Sound Hold lets you sustain the left hand sound and bass note (even while auto accompaniment is stopped) allowing you to create a dramatic build-up/introduction without rhythm at the beginning of a song, or leading into a solo. Other features for real-time or live performance include Fade In/Out and Ensemble, in which the iX300 harmonizes your melody with chords you choose with the left hand.
Automatic accompaniment can be triggered by left hand chording, right hand chording or even full keyboard playing to generate accompaniment from traditional piano performance. The iX300 can playback and even edit Standard MIDI file sequences and can record backing sequences which are based on its auto-accompaniment styles. These sequences can be exported as Standard MIDI files for playback on other systems. The Korg iX300 also incorporates a built-in computer interface as well as Style and Arrangement data compatibility with other Korg i-Series instruments.
In addition, the iX300 has a wide range of optional accessories including: a External Controller, Foot Controller, Expression/Volume Pedal, Damper Pedal,
