Morley Echo-Plus January 16, 1997
Morley, makers of pedals and effects for musicians, officially announced the release of their newest analog pedal, the Echo-Plus (ECV). The pedal comes equipped with 300 millisecond echo and lush chorus/vibrato. Each of the effects can be controlled in real time. In Echo mode, you control the mix of original and effected signal. In chorus mode, the chorus speed can be altered from standard speed to a vibrato. Both functions are controlled by Morley's superior Electro-Optical circuitry for smooth transition and noise free long lasting operation. A limited introductory production run of chrome ECV's will be offered.
Morley made an Echo Chorus Vibrato pedal in the late 70's that was ahead of it's time and still sounds great even up against today's effects. The pedal idea comes from the original ECV but the circuitry has been updated to meet today's standards. "The Echo-Plus is more of a tribute to our history than a basic reissue." says General Manager Randy Wright.
"This pedal is great for musicians who need more control over their effects than just an on/off button." says designer and Director of Engineering Scott Flesher. "Also for anyone who doesn't want the clutter and complications of MIDI." he adds. Designed to be rugged and meet the needs of the working musician, the Echo-Plus is housed in a heavy duty metal chassis. Equipped with LED indication and easy access battery compartment, it comes with Morley's standard two year warranty and has a suggested retail price of $250.
