Following the success of the Aguilar DB 680 Tube Bass Preamp - which
counts such notables as Michael Rhodes (Nashville session great), Chris
Chaney (Alanis Morissette), Hutch Hutchinson (Bonnie Raitt) and Mark
Browne (Melissa Etheridge) among it's users - Aguilar Amplification is
proud to announce the launch of the DB 728 400 Watt All Tube Power Amp.
The DB 728 is an extremely high end amp optimized for bass. The sound
is fat, full and warm. Ten vacuum tubes generate 400 Watts of
harmonically rich tone. Custom designed toroidal transformers for
ultra-wide frequency response.
Specifications and features:
Power tubes: Eight premium Tesla KT88 power tubes.
Power output: 400 watts RMS. This is into 2, 4, or 8 ohms. And this
is 400 watts clean, loud and fat.
Driver tubes: One 12 AX7 and one 12 AU7
Transformers: Custom designed toroidal output transformer for
ultra-wide bandwidth. Power transformer is also toroidal.
Outputs: 2 sets of banana plugs (posts) and 2 1/4" outputs
Inputs: One 1/4" unbalanced input and one input thru for patching a
preamp signal thru to an additional power amp
Output Impedance Selector: A three position switch provides switching
for two, four, or eight ohms.
Cooling: Two ultra-low noise fans regulate the operating temperature of
the amp.
Weight: ONLY 53 lbs.!
Chassis: Aircraft quality aluminum construction provides sturdiness
without excessive weight. Access to tubes is provided through top of
unit for convenience and is isolated from any dangerous voltages.
Components and workmanship: Only the highest quality components and
workmanship are used in Aguilar products.
Warranty: Ten year limited warranty. This is one of the longest
