Hartke Introduces Two New "Kickback" Bass Combos January 29, 1998
Based on the success of its original 12" Kickback bass combo amp, Hartke is now introducing a 10" and 15" version of this popular concept in bass amplification.
A unique Hartke design often imitated by others, the Kickback features a revolutionary "two-way" (upright for performance and tilted back for monitoring applications) ported bass reflex cabinet.
All of the Kickbacks are equipped with a powerful amp that produces 120 watts into 6 ohms. The Kickback combo family now includes three models with either a custom 10", 12" or 15" Hartke aluminum-cone driver.
These versatile amps all feature unique "Shape" contour filtering circuitry that activates a carefully plotted EQ curve to add more presence and dimension to the overall sound. This control can be fine-tuned between 90 Hz and I kHz for specific tastes and playing styles.
Additional sound-shaping on each model is provided by a precise 3-band EQ with +/- 15 dB of boost and cut at 100Hz, 300 Hz and 5 kHz. Other Kickback features include a balanced XLR direct output (pre EQ and Volume); a separate headphone output that mutes the speaker for private practice and an active 1/4" input that handles a wide range of active and passive pickups without overloading.
