Because they offer the sleek contours of much more expensive basses, the Ibanez Ergodyne bass has been one of Ibanez' most successful new product offerings. Since Ergodyne bass bodies are made of Luthite, a man made material formulated specifically for electric string instruments, Ibanez has been able to quickly incorporate new design suggestions to make to make 1998 Ergodyne basses even better for slapping and popping. Ibanez is introducing two all new lines of Ergodyne basses, both of which feature popular new flat finishes and are heavily scooped on the top for better slapping.
