PRESS RELEASE

New Musser Student Marimba

January 29, 1998

Musser Industries has introduced a new marimba specially designed for the individual mallet percussion student. Musser Marketing Manager Jim Catalano stated, "Musser Mallet Instruments are known world wide for their superior tone quality and are the choice of professionals, universities, and music educators. Now Musser offers a lower priced mallet instrument for the individual beginning mallet percussionist. We believe that the marimba offers the student the best instrument for mallet percussion development. That's why we created the Musser M32 Studio Marimba."

Since, "Studio" means study, the M32 Marimba from Musser, is a great instrument to start the musical study of mallet percussion. This four octave instrument is made with Paduk Bars and offers good sound quality, resonance, and feel for the young mallet percussionist. This instrument can grow with the student both musically and physically. The height adjustable frame stands 31.5" at the lowest position up to 35.5" at the highest level. Several height levels are achieved through five position holes into the legs of the instrument. The M32 features aluminum frame legs, four sturdy casters, with two lockable casters. The instrument is 61" long and 30.5" at widest point. Two pair of keyboard mallets and a dust cover are included.

The resonators are powder coated in an durable scratch resistant silver finish for years of beauty and use. All easily assembled on the new "Slant Style" wooden frame that allows for glissando effects and easy set-up. Hook style shock absorbing bar mounts are standard securing the Paduk bars on our new "Acousti-cord" bar cord. This material is designed to absorb more stress and transcend vibrations, allowing a noise free setting for a better sound.

Priced in the USA at $2,500 suggested retail, the M32 is a great addition to the well accepted line of Musser Mallet Instruments. Catalano continued, "We have even allowed for the future development of the student by making a rosewood set of bars available as an upgrade to the M32."
