These timpani, designed with input from timpani legend Cloyd Duff, use a Dresden style pedal which features the exclusive Adams "ratchet free" adjustable pedal system. This system is state of the art, offering, without a doubt, the best positive locking mechanism available. The Duff model timpani have all the other features of the original Adams Philharmonic Light Timpani, with a list price ranging from $8,800.00 to $10,850.00 per drum.
New for '98 are the Adams Professional Series Fiberglass Timpani. High quality timpani at very affordable prices for the budget minded program. A set of four list for $8,450.00. These timpani contain the same features as the copper and hammered copper professional drums. The fiberglass kettle is suspended to ensure unrestricted resonance and is supported by a strong steel ring for stability during transport. The spring-balanced pedal is specifically designed to assure a consistent feel throughout the range of the drums. The two rear wheels are equipped with the modern wheel braking system, which prevents the wheels from turning or rotating. A tuning gauge and Remo timpani heads are standard equipment.
