Peavey Debuts DPM® C8X Keyboard MIDI Controller

Peavey Electronics Corporation will be introducing the DPM® C8X keyboard MIDI controller at NAMM '98 in Los Angeles. The DPM C8X features a friendly graphic interface, extensive MIDI control and a dynamic keyboard feel, as well as innovations such as arpeggiator, chord and guitar functions that can be used individually or linked together for unique musical effects.
The DPM C8X will give players better control over their entire musical set-up, allowing for quick and easy splitting and layering of sounds on one or several multi-timbral modules. Parts can be brought in or out by how hard the keyboard is played. Also, one can easily start or stop a standard MIDI file sequencer and control the tempo directly from the DPM C8X.
The DPM C8X action is remarkably like a real piano, so greater velocity on the keyboard results in impressive dynamic range; exact velocity response can be customized to the player's style via the programmable velocity curves.
