Peavey Releases KB/ATM 30 Amplifier

January 29, 1998

Peavey Electronics Corporation is pleased to introduce the KB/ATM 30 keyboard/acoustic amplifier. The KB/A 30 is a high-powered full range amplifier that offers a special two-way coax speaker system featuring a 10" woofer with a 1" compression tweeter featuring Ferrofluid® for exceptional full range output. The coax design provides the advantages of a point source system and the dome tweeter provides a clean, extended response. The KB/A 30 also offers an isolated sealed enclosure for optimum bass response.

The KB/A 30 is biamped, with dedicated power amps for both the woofer and tweeter, so the sound output is greatly increased as the amplifiers work more efficiently. The signal passes through a specially designed electronic crossover which feeds the two amplifiers, a 40 watt amp for the woofer and a 10 watt amp for the tweeter.

The KB/A 30 has four inputs. Channel One is optimized for mic or line inputs (XLR combo inputs) and has a two-band EQ. Channel Two is ideal for line or acoustic inputs and features a gain switch in addition to the two-band EQ. Channel Three is a dedicated line/instrument input and features a two-band EQ. Channel Four is located on the rear panel and offers a monitor input. This signal passes only to the amp and is not part of the line output signal, making it useful for click tracks or monitoring. Also, an effects insert (send/return) is provided for adding an effects device to the master signal.

The KB/A 30 offers an XLR balanced line output in addition to a 1/4" Effects send jack that can function as a direct output; the headphone output is placed on the front for easy access and automatically mutes the amplifier signal when used.
