New
Sonar Force 2001 Entry Level Drums January
29, 1998HSS, a Division of Hohner, is introducing a new Sonor drum series at NAMM '98.
The new Force 2001 series, is designed for entry level players. Force 2001 combines
German design with features in demand in the global market including economical
pricing and proven quality. The new Force 2001 Series includes the best features
of the popular Force Maple and Force 3000 series -- bass drum spurs, long lug
high tension casing -- with affordable pricing. The 2001 Series is available in
three configurations: Stage, Studio and Fusion in black, wine red and ocean blue.
"Force 2001 offers unmatched economy and quality. Even though these kits are
affordably priced, they offer the same qualities of the Force Maple and Force
3000," noted Rusty Martin, Sonor Product Manager/Artist Relations. "The double
braced hardware has the same features as the popular 3000 Series. These are world
class Sonor drums for a fraction of the cost." The 9-ply mahogany shell of
the bass drum offers a warm full traditional sound. Calibrated bass drum spurs
ensure stability; full classic t-rods allow easy finger tuning. The bass drum
hoop is black powder coated with color inlay added for a touch of class. The
toms in the Force 2001 Series are six ply mahogany shells which produce a warm
traditional sound. Full length high tension lug casings offer tuning stability.
The snare drum has eight chrome lugs with adjustable strainer. All tom and snare
drum tension rods are traditional so that tuning can be accomplished with a standard
drum key. The lightweight hardware on the Force 2001 Series makes these kits easy
to transport and is double braced for strength and durability. For more information, call 804-550-2700 or
