Guild's Re-Evolution With A TwistNEW FROM GUILD --- F47CE and F47RCE January 28, 1999For the contemporary finger-style player who enjoys a traditional folk guitar
shape, but craves the added power lent by a slightly larger body; Guild Guitars(R)
introduces the new F47CE and F47RCE. These state-of-the-art guitars are based
on the original Guild Valencia(TM) F-40 from the '50s which evolved into the
Bluegrass(TM) F47 of the '60s, and then ultimately offered in 1973 as the Bluegrass(TM)
F-40.
While at first look the F47CE and F47RCE may appear like reissues, these two
new models have added bonuses not present on their precursors. Special standard
features added to the new models include a Venetian round cutaway, as well as
a Fishman Prefix Onboard Blender preamp system which features a three band EQ,
a variable notch filter, flip-top-battery compartment for quick and easy access
and a blending control for mixing the under saddle transducer with an on-board
condenser microphone.
These full-bodied cutaways are solid wood top and back instruments with scalloped
"Y' bracing, triple-A grade Sitka spruce tops, and Rosewood fingerboards.
Both are decorated with multi-ply binding, traditional Guild block inlays, shell
pickguard and Guild's trademark "Chesterfield" inlay on the headstock.
In addition to the natural Mahogany and Rosewood body choices, the F47's are
available in sunburst and black color options. Guild's F47CE and F47RCE are
beautiful showcase guitars, re-evolved for today's solo acoustic players, performing
songwriters and studio recording alike. For more information, visit http://www.guildguitars.com/
