Midiman Ships DigiPatch 12x6 Audio Patchbay

January 25, 1999Providing another affordable tool for the digital audio evolution,
MIDIMAN has announced delivery of their new automated digital audio patchbay,
the DigiPatch 12x6. The unit offers six coaxial and six optical inputs, for
twelve completely independent sources, routed to six paired coaxial and optical
outputs, or six targets with one coaxial out and one optical out per target.
The automated digital patchbay routes digital audio connections between gear
equipped with S/PDIF and ADAT Lite Pipe compatible digital audio connectors.
DigiPatch 12x6 is the perfect companion piece for anyone tired of reaching behind
their rack to repatch synthesizers, hard disk recorders, digital multi-tracks,
digital mixers, digital mic preamps, stand alone ADCs and DACs, and digital
effects processors.
The DigiPatch 12x6 is a single space, full rack mount enclosure and may be
programmed from the front panel or controlled remotely from a computer using
the included DigiPatch Panel software for both Mac and PC. DigiPatch 12x6 also
boasts: 50 non-volatile internal patch configurations which may be programmed,
stored, and recalled at any later time; "format neutral" connections
which can be used for S/PDIF or ADAT; compatibility with all digital audio format
converters and performs simple coaxial-to-optical and optical-to-coaxial translations
for S/PDIF signals; built-in MIDI thru connection for easy hook-up to any existing
MIDI setup. Also, Multiple DigiPatch patchbays may be cascaded together for
even more ins and outs.
