FX Forum Entry Level Drum SetThe FX Forum, Pearl's entry level drum set, receives top-to-bottom improvements
for 1999. January 28, 1999The shells now feature Pearl's exclusive scarf joint (overlapping seam) construction
heretofore only available on mid to high-end Pearl lacquer drums. This not only
substantially improves the strength of the drums but also allows the shells
to vibrate uniformly, unimpeded by air pockets, for superior resonance and sustain.
All drums feature newly designed low mass lugs for optimum tonality and resonance.
The lug's modern design enhances the Forum's cosmetics giving the appearance
of drum sets costing hundreds more.
The snare drum has been upgraded to the SS-414 with newly designed Gladstone-type
strainer for smooth and positive action.
The tom mounting brackets have been made slimmer to complement the lugs for
a clean, contemporary look. The tom arms have been upgraded to the TH-88 with
60 teeth for precise tom placement.
The cymbal stand has been upgraded to the C-700 with three sections for improved
stability and value.
A 10"x10" tom is now available separately for added kit-configuration
versatility.
The Forum 5 piece FX 22-5 with hardware is priced at $899 MSRP (unchanged from
1998). For more information, visit Pearl at http://www.pearldrum.com/
