Stronger Hoops And Insert Rings Highlight New Tympani Heads

January 28, 1999

The choice of leading tympanists for nearly half a century, Remo Tympani heads continue to set the standard for tympani sound and performance in the world's major symphonic, studio and pit orchestras. Now, all Remo Tympani heads have been upgraded for optimum performance with Remo's acclaimed Tympani II high-strength, heavy-gauge aluminum flesh hoop and new contoured aluminum insert ring that provides superior consistency, stability, range and resonance.

- Renaissance "RC" Custom Tympani Heads Introduced in 1998, Remo Renaissance Tympani heads have quickly become the choice of many top tympanists due to their rounder, deeper, balanced sound that is similar to the traditional tonal characteristics of calf-skin. Renaissance Tympani heads come with new aluminum insert rings and provide increased warmth, resonance and articulation. All Renaissance Tympani Heads are made to order in the Remo Custom Drumhead Department.
