Roland Announces EM-2000 Creative Keyboard
January 28, 1999Roland Corporation is proud to premiere the
EM-2000 Creative Keyboard-a flagship arranger-style keyboard with a built-in
sound system designed for composers and arrangers, home studio musicians, and
live performers.
This 61-key instrument's velocity and aftertouch sensitive keyboard controls
1,161 professional-quality Roland instrument sounds, 43 drum kits, and more
than 400 ready-to-play musical styles-from classical to hip-hop, jazz to techno,
and more. Sounds and styles can be mixed and matched, and original styles can
be created and internalized with the unique Style Composer.
The EM-2000's potential for individual expression and performance reaches new
heights with the amazing D-Beam controller, which allows control of pitch bending,
modulation, tempo, arranger functions and more-all via a performer's hand and
body movements through an infrared beam of light!
Storage and playback of songs and styles is available via the internal floppy
drive, the internal Zip drive, or a connected SCSI drive. Locating any song
or style within the database is no problem, as the EM-2000 allows the user to
search by field (title, author, song/style name, etc.), or simply by playing
in a phrase of the desired tune on the keyboard.
A bright 240 x 64 backlit display with adjustable viewing angle offers graphics
and onscreen icons for easy navigation around the EM-2000's powerful features;
the interface can even be tailored to suit individual taste through an adjustable
Easy/Expert mode.
Complementing the quality instrument sounds of the EM-2000 is a bank of five
full-blown effects processors which encompass a multitude of reverb, delay and
chorus Patches. For practice sessions or small performances, the EM-2000 includes
a powerful built-in 40-watt stereo sound system with a two-way bass reflex speaker
design. For more information, visit Roland on the web at www.rolandus.com. |
