| Roland Introduces XP-30 Synthesizer
January 28, 1999Roland is proud to introduce the new XP-30
64-Voice Expandable Synthesizer, an instrument poised to reset the price/performance
standards for powerful, expandable synthesis. The XP-30 brings together the
world-renowned sound sets of the acclaimed JV-1080 and JV-2080 synth modules,
all the Patches from the Session, Orchestral, and Techno Collection expansion
boards, plus two additional expansion board slots-all at a price within reach
of serious musicians at any level.
Powerful performance features of the XP-30 include the innovative XP-60/80
Arpeggiator, built-in reverb/chorus/effects, four programmable sliders for realtime
sound control and editing and Patch Finder and Phrase Preview functions borrowed
from the JV-2080. A built-in SmartMedia storage slot allows additional storage
of Patches and Performances on optional 2MB and 4MB SmartMedia cards.
The XP-30's weighted 61-key, velocity/aftertouch sensitive keyboard offers great
playability, while its illuminated buttons and user-friendly operational layout
