December 14, 2001Luthier and educator Charles Fox of Charles Fox Guitars and
the American School of Lutherie, has teamed with Pantheon Guitars to introduce a new CFox line of modern
guitars. "Charles's guitars are known throughout the world for their elegant, contemporary design," said
Patrick Theimer, CEO of Pantheon Guitars. "Recognizing the contribution Charles has made to guitar making
throughout the last quarter of a century, we approached him earlier this year and invited him to design a Cfox
line that could be built in our shop," he continued. "We are very honored to be partnering with him."
CFox Guitars is the second line of signature instruments to come out of the Pantheon workshop, where a small
group of luthiers are focused on handcrafting guitars, one at a time, under the leadership of Dana Bourgeois.
Built in small batches, the new CFox instruments embody the modern design features and commitment to
quality that Fox has championed for 35 years as an artist, craftsman and teacher. "The cost and waiting time for
my own hand-made instruments puts them beyond the reach of many players," said Charles. "Pantheon's
production of the CFox series allows me to deliver a more accessible instrument to a broader audience, while
allowing me to create exclusive custom guitars in my own shop. It's a very satisfying relationship."
The first two models in the new CFox series will be introduced at Winter NAMM 2002.
