Alto Pro Audio Product Line DebutsART to distribute to the US market July 31, 2002Alto Professional Audio Products is making its debut with an extensive range of gear including equalizers, crossovers, preamps, power amps, loudspeakers, mixers, and other processors. The products are developed and produced at various locations around the world including Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, northern California, and Taiwan.
"I was always hypercritical on the products I was offered," said Gp Staffa, who has had many different jobs in the MI industry, including being a MI dealer and a rep.
"I never found what I wanted. Either good product was highly overpriced, or affordable products were not better than those I had been building as a teenager. I was dreaming of a line of products with the Henry Ford statement clearly in mind. 'Technology is useful only when is made available to a large number of people.'"
The core of the digital audio products, developed primarily in Italy, is a sophisticated DSP and a wide range of algorithms, developed by the Alto software team over the last seven years. For the first time, these algorithms are available in a portable device - the Alto AlphaVerb.
Additionally, Alto is the first and only company in the world that offers a dual-band digital stereo compressor/limiter with presets.
But Alto does more than just digital. Many analog products are part of the line, including a tube-based preamp.
