The MC-909 represents the evolution of the best-selling Groovebox into a
full music production system. Based on a new generation XV synth engine
with up to 272MB of onboard sampling, the MC-909 provides hundreds of fresh
new sounds and patterns and endless sonic manipulation via realtime
controls and velocity-sensitive pads. An optional SRX-Series Wave Expansion
Board can be added at any time, and samples can be used on their own or as
a waveform in the synth engine.
The MC-909 also features a beefed up effects section with dedicated reverb,
compressor, and two M-FX including COSM Amp Modeling. A separate Mastering
processor makes it easy to create finished-sounding tracks, while the
onboard USB port makes for easy exchange of .WAV/AIFF audio and Standard
MIDI Files. Performance controllers include twin D Beams and a Turntable
Emulation slider, which now works for MIDI and audio. And when paired of
with an optional Roland DV-7PR Digital Video Workstation, the MC-909 can
trigger live video with its revolutionary V-LINK feature.
