LR Sound Acquires Digital Audio Labs Brand and Products

April 12, 2003

LR Sound announced that it has acquired all brand names, trademarks, and product lines of Digital Audio Labs, Inc. LR Sound will continue to sell existing and new products under the Digital Audio Labs name while continuing support for the existing customer base with enhanced driver software. Products affected include the CardDeluxe 24/96 stereo PCI interface.

"The Digital Audio Labs name is recognized around the world and has a reputation for the highest audio fidelity. As the original engineering team behind many of these products, we feel uniquely suited to carry on the DAL tradition of quality and value," said Ted Klein, president of LR Sound, who will also head the new Digital Audio Labs division. "Our top priorities are to update the support for existing products and expand the Digital Audio Labs product line."

Mr. Klein was the engineering manager of Digital Audio Labs from 1995 through 1998, and held the position of president during 1998 and 1999. He left Digital Audio Labs in 2000 to start LR Sound, a hardware/software consulting group.
